Isfahan

The town of Isfahan is one of the glories of Iran. Formerly the capital of Persian the town is dominated by a massive open area, once a polo ground, flanked by splendid ancient buildings. The rugs of Isfahan were and still are the finest of all that were produced. Noted for their extreme fineness and complexity, Isfahan rugs are very pleasing on the eye, and, whilst not inexpensive, last for generations.
