Abadeh rugs are produced in the town of the same name by descendants of Kashgai tribes. The pure wool pile is knotted into a cotton foundation producing a stiffer construction than Kashgai or Shiraz rugs which are traditionally woven onto a woollen backing. The background colour of this rug is cream which is typical of modern Abadeh rugs. A very good, hard wearing runner suitable for all heavy use areas.
