Bakhtiar Carpet

Bakhtiar carpets from wetsern Iran are woven in villages by the tribe of that name. They are usually very hard wearing and always vibrant in design and colour. This is a lovely example in deep mid red, rose, cream and dark blue, the semi floral medallion design contrasting beautifully with the formal border.
