Meshed Carpet

The town of Meshed in Eastern Iran produces fine, closely woven carpets of intricate floral design. This example is unusual in its use of a semi-geometric design in the outer field or background. Soft warm shades of deep rose red, blue and cream combined with the intricate design has produced an extremely beautiful carpet.
