Hosseinabad Carpet

Hosseinabad carpets are some of the most admired examples of Persian rug manufacture, quite finely woven, with a fine deep lustrous pile. This example is classic in its use of colour and design, the small tight background in the Herati motif in deep terracotta rose, contrasting with the elegant central medallion and border design.
