RUG Hazareh STOCK REF. NO. 5636 SIZE 3.12 x 2.51m PRICE £2650 Hazareh rugs and carpets originate in the area around Peshawar, West Pakistan. Made by Afghan weavers to the highest quality using the top-grade Ghazni wool for durability and lustre, the designs are based on Persian Ziegler and Indian Agra patterns from the 19th C. The soft natural colours are derived entirely from vegetable dyes. This splendid example is a classic Ziegler-style design on a cream background with soft gold, mid-rose and turquoise pattern.
