You and Your refer to you, the Oriental Rugs of Bath Agent, whether you are a freelancer or represent a company; We, Us, Our and ORB refer to Oriental Rugs of Bath Ltd.
By signing up to become an Agent you undertake the following:
You will show your friends, clients, colleagues and contacts (your customers) our website on your computer with the aim of helping them choose up to three (3) rugs, kilims or pieces of furniture that they would like to see on approval.
You will charge your customer's credit cards through our website for the carriage costs of the items they want on approval - such charge to be deductible from any sale.
You will revisit your customer within ten days of the original transaction to ascertain which of the items they have on approval they want to purchase.
If they purchase nothing, you use our website to arrange for the items to be returned to the location they came from. In this circumstance none of the carriage cost is refunded.
If they want to purchase some or all of the items they've had on approval, you process the sale through our website. The carriage cost for the items purchased, and only for those items, is deducted from the purchase price.
While the items are with your customers on approval they are covered by our insurance, but it is your responsibility to ensure your customers treat the items with respect and, should they wish to do so, return them in the condition they received them.
You will be charged for any items wilfully damaged or lost by your customers.
You can login to your account at any time to check your activity.
You will provide us with the sort code and account number of the bank account you want us to pay your commissions into. We will only pay online.
We undertake that:
Our system will record accurately both the items sent on approval and any ensuing sales to your account.
At the end of each calendar month we will pay you (online) any commissions due to you for the previous month's sales - the time lag is to allow for any returns.
The commissions we pay are calculated as the relevant percentage of the price your customers pay for the items they purchase (before any carriage costs are deducted).
We pay "Basic Agents" (i.e. those who pay no fee) a commission of 20%.
We pay "ORBPro" Agents (i.e. those who pay a membership fee) a commission of 30%.
We will keep you informed if we make any changes to these terms and of new products that might be of interest to your customers.
