Tabriz Rugs come from the city of Tabriz, 600 km west of Teheran and one of the largest cities in Iran and the capital of the province of Azerbaidjan. The city has for centuries been a very important trading place and border station with its famous Blue Mosque and enormous bazaar. Carpet-weaving in Tabriz is extensive. Tabriz rugs range in quality from excellent to simple and cheap bazaar pieces. A good Tabriz has a short and rough pile. Its patterns use a centrally placed medallion surrounded by arabesques, weeping willows and cypresses. A popular motif is that of the four seasons describing the life of the Persian farmer through spring, summer, autumn and winter. Ancient palaces and ruins are sometimes depicted as are the four great Persian poets: Sadi, Hafez, Ferdowsi and Omar Khayam in the corners.

RETURNS   DELIVERY   ASK A QUESTION

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

We want you to be delighted and inspired with what you buy from us!  So, if you find that the rug, kilim or piece of furniture just isn’t right when you get it home, tell us and we’ll do our best to exchange it for something you love.

The same goes if you want to return something for a refund. The last thing we want is customers unhappy with their purchases, so of course we’ll refund you.

Just two caveats:

  1. We ask you to cover the cost of returning things to us; and
  2. We can’t refund or exchange items that are not in the same condition as they left us, whether dirty or damaged.
