Our specialist cleaning and repair services are renowned and we can be entrusted with the most valuable of oriental rugs and kilims
- both antique and modern. Our expert restorers bring beloved woven heirlooms back to life by re-weaving and re-piling worn areas, as well as putting right minor blemishes. The cleaning methods employed are gentle and precise, to never damage the weave nor fade the colours.

Afghan Rugs & Runners
We predominantly stock rugs from Afghanistan, such as Kazak, Ziegler, Kargahi, Sherwan, Aqche, Khan Mohammadi and Mushwani.

Kilims & Flatweaves
Afghan veg-dyed kilims come in all sizes, from big to seat-cover small. We also stock Persian Shiraz kilims in natural wool along with tribal jajims.

Upholstered Furniture
Hand-upholstered one-off pieces of furniture, from vintage Victorian tub chairs to two-seater sofas. Also, a range of footstools and cubes.
Gwen Raverat was Charles Darwin’s granddaughter, a world-renowned wood-engraver, painter and writer, married to French painter Jacques Raverat. She was also the grandmother of William Pryor co-owner of Bookbarn International and Oriental Rugs of Bath.
In 1938 she was invited, oddly by Farmers’ Weekly magazine, to join Cecil Edwards, the founder of the Oriental Carpet Manufactory
or OCM, on a whirlwind trip to Persia. OCM was the company that pioneered the import of Persian rugs into the UK in the
